                                             Ortlieb's Jazz Lounge ~ 847 North 3rd Street

Season's Greeting's Fellow Quester's... This edition is a very special one, as I introduce and bring to you back for the first time... The lendary "Ortlieb's Jazzhause" now heraled as Ortieb's Jazz Lounge. In April of 2010 this classic venue was previously confirmed closed due to poor economy. After serving after more than 23 years of music and food pleasure for its patrons, the Northern Liberties based venue is back!, bigger and deffer. Under a slight different management approach... Ortliebs now provides a more broad base of live music including Indie Hip-Hop, Rock, Soul, Funk, and of course Jazz..

On any week-day you can enjoy a great happy hour which is from 6-8. Fully equipted with inexpensive drinks, great tex-mex inexpensive bar food, friendly/helpful bartenders, and an awesome Blues House Band. Anyone leaving this place will be sure be dying to come back. With a slight influential edge to the music and drink the new and improved Ortlieb's does include a nice mesh of American and Tex Mex food menu items.

A great insider tip: Try their house hot sauce..contains a cinnamon blend very different.

For those eager for the experience events are alive and well all this week and every week.!

Soho ~in Cheltenham

Season’s Greeting’s...
Straight off a full moon, crazy hectic week at work! I decided to shoot out with my brethren to unwind a little. I had always seen this particular place from and to daily destinations throughout my week, but never took the time to actually check it out. To my somewhat surprise, I was pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food.  The food Is excellent, in particular the ‘spicy wings’ with pickled radish  (think general tos’s chicken as wings) Soho CafĂ© serves a Korean, Japanese and Asian Fusion cuisine with an American twist easily accessible whether at lunch or late night, fully equip with a full bar as well (for all you drinkers ;) )  As a nearby spot to Mt. Airy, Glenside, Springfield, Ambler, Cheltenham, & Northeast Philly Soho stays open until 2am unlike most neighborhood restaurants.

London in Philly

                                                                London ~ Grill
                                                            2031 Fairmount Ave.

Questers.!, No money to fly to England.? No worries.. You can have London right here in Philadephia. First order of business  this IS one of my favorite places to wine n dine in the city, period. If you've never ventured here take heed, youv'e been put on.

Located a few minutes outside of the Philadelphia Art Musuem (one of Philadelphia's quintessential neighborhood spots) , London is a place to kick-back outside of the grind of center city,  to guzzle your favorite beer,  ale or sip fine wine (Great Happy Hours). A place to bring your best friend, girlfriend, or your mother-in-law, to woo a client or celebrate a boss, to enjoy fine dining, or a simple drink for a honest price. A place where you naturally become a regular...With a complete dining room area, private upstairs, and full bar this restaurant breaks your common chain restaurant in half!

Public Works: SFO Edition

                                                                  Public Works
161 Erie St (at Mission St) San Francisco, CA 94103
Season's Greeting's Questers, As promised I'm here to give just a taste of the low down that is San Francisco. During my time there I got to venture through a few dope neighborhoods in Frisco but had my best time at Public Works at a FREE! Hieroglyphics show showcasing legendary acts/Del, Souls of Mischeif & Casual.

Public Works is a pretty awesome venue.. Especially for your smaller, local bands or acoustic sets. But don't let it fool you! You can pack a ton of people in here and a full set! As they did.. For a free show, they rocked out pretty much the whole night (well worth free.99). The environment is kind of an upscale warehouse with a huge bar and great sound system. Kind of unsual but it works. There's an upstairs area balcony were you can take look down at the band and crowd while comfortably loungin'. Ultimate Pro: This spot provides very feesable parking Con: If your hungry, then you gotta get out of here. Overall, Like a box of positive's its a plus luv. This is how we chilled from 11'' until...

Hip Hop, Love, & Fire.?

Weekly Spotlight: The Fire @ 412 West Girard Avenue.

Season's Greetings Questers.! In the spirit of the new hip hop album "love & rockets vol. 1", I had the opportunity to check out MURS (Living Legends, Roxy Renolyds fame) an excellent emcee by the way at The Fire, right in the heart of "Old Kesington " hovering across Northern Liberties. Small venues are always dope for great music acts( Rule of Thumb!) . Although I missed the bulk of the performance, shotout to Reg Stag, I enjoyed my time. The Fire brings a cool, grungy feeling, typically not known for hiphop rather indie punk & rock bands but easily able to transition as the sounds BuMp. The stage and bar are completely separated allowing show goers and bar goers to have their respective space with small outside seating available as well, (good for day-time chillin' or late nite illin') While The Fire surely does not rank as one of the largest venues around the town, its small neighborhood-ish bar feel is what makes this place unique.
